Merchant Surcharging Understanding Payment Card Changes
Beginning January 27, 2013, merchants in the United States and U.S. Territories will be permitted to impose a surcharge on consumers when they use a credit card.

Historically, Designers’ Choice has not added surcharges, but with our extremely low prices on Clearance and Discounted items, we are now enforcing a 3% fee for all credit cards transactions.

What This Means for Our Consumers Consumers will pay an additional 3% fee when they use a credit card on any sale that is deemed as Clearance, As-Is, or Discounted.
